Happy New Year to every F1 fan out there, but especially to those who have loyally visited this site and contributed to our web-place over the years. As 2010 starts, we all wait for news of who will be in what seat. Our fingers remain firmly crossed that Taku gets a drive. If he does, then this site will morph into another form - but if the F1 world snubs him, then I guess this website will sadly disappear. I have enjoyed writing here over the years and been astonished by how one man can inspire and unite a community of such wonderful fans. It has been an absolute pleasure to meet so many genuinely friendly and knowledgeable people. Thank you. Whilst I write as though I own the website, it is actually hosted and paid for by Anton and I thank him a thousand times over for providing the resource and the support. Thanks Anton. In January I will meet up with a few of you in London, along with a couple of special guests: Matthew and Em. Both are friends of this site, and both have provided me and many other fans with simply amazingly privileged access to Taku and to F1. I thank them both from the very bottom of my heart for the generosity shown to me over the years. And so to Takuma Sato. Publicly and privately one of the most generous and genuine people I have ever met, Taku relit my passion for F1 when I saw him drive the Jordan to points in Suzuka. Every race since then I have watched him do exactly what all racing drivers should be doing - racing. From the first time I met him to the last time I met him, I had the same feeling of awe and warmth. Taku holds the respect of his fans so well because of the respect and generosity with which he treats them. Thank you Takuma-san. So now Anton will decide when to pull the plug on the website ... I guess it coincides with the renewal of the domain name. Goodbye from this web address, but I hope to keep in touch with many of you through Facebook or email. My email address remains as
