It is all official now, Super Aguri F1 team will be racing at Barcelona this weekend! We have had confirmation that whilst talks continue, the team has managed to secure a place on the grid. Now it is over to Taku and Anthony to do their bit to help the sponsorship talks. Last year, I stood there with Zesare and we watched with our hearts in our mouths as Taku took the maiden point for SAF1. Now more than ever a single point would mean everything. He knows that, and so does Anthony. As if there wasn't already enough pressure on these drivers, the stakes have been raised. Of course, it's not just the drivers ... the pit stops, the preparations, the back-room support, all add their part to this drama called a race. One wheel nut cross-threaded, one hydrualic leak because a hose fitting isn't tight enough, could spell disaster. Something as 'simple' as food not being ready, or a press conference going wrong, could both put the drivers off the very pinacle they need to be at for this race. While we fans sit and wait for Sunday's red lights to go out, the rest of the team are working their butts off to make this happen right. Here at saf1.org we raise our caps and send them all our heartfelt wishes for a good race!
