Prodrive's Dave Richards has dropped plans to enter the F1 grid in 2008. Amid the continuing delays in agreeing a new set of rules under the Concorde Agreement, and the threat of a legal challange by Williams, Prodrive has decided to shelve thier entry until such time as it is viable. It centres around Prodrive wanting to enter a customer car from McLaren and Mercedes, but as time for new car launches approaches, Dave Richards admits that thigs are very tight now. This of course has an impact for SAF1 - with Prodrive no longer wanting to force the issue, SAF1 will have a slightly tougher time. I hope they have this covered (I'm sure they do).
