It's been an emotional day, with Takuma Sato picking up the first championship point for Super Aguri F1 Team at the Spanish GP.
In a race that saw many teams leaving the track due to accident and reliability issues, Sato and Davidson managed to avoid a host of first lap incidents to bring both cars home. The final fight between Sato and Fisichella was one of the most exciting of the day, with the Spanish TV director doing a excellent job of covering both cars.
Radio communication between Sato and the pit always sounded calm and controlled at a time when other teams sounded much less so. "The strategy is good.", we heard from the pits, and certainly it was.
Whilst some may say Super Aguri profited from other teams' misfortune they would be wise to remember that reliability won the day; points are points however they come.
That one point will benefit the team hugely at the end of season, especially with each point being worth an estimated $2 million or more.
Success, they say, brings success! More points are sure to follow.
