The FIA have decided that the recent verdict and lack of penalty "against" McLaren for possessing detailed Ferrari report may have shaken public confidence in the sport.... Max Mosely has responded to a request from the Italian Motorsport Commission to have the case sent to the appeal court. Now, all teams have been invited to make representation if they want to. |

SAF1 star moves to Spyker |

In a move hinted at earlier in the week in the press, Sakon Yamamoto -SAF1 test driver- has moved to Spyker for the remainder of the season. It is unusual to see co-operation of this nature (Sakon apparently remains signed to SAF1) between teams showing both on-track and off-track rivalries which often signal anything other than co-operation. We at SAF1.org wish Sakon a very successful season, and hope that he does not impact on SAF1's progress as much as Spyker might want

The European Grand Prix got off to an extraordinary start yesterday as torrential rain turned the first few laps into to something more akin to Power Boating. For the first time in years, the race was red flagged for unsafe weather conditions as Buttons Honda opened a very expensive -but not so exclusive- marina at turn one. |
